What is Apple Cider Vinegar Good For

Apple Cider Vinegar and Acne

Apple Cider Vinegar can work wonders on the skin. Because Apple Cider Vinegar contains CERATIC acid, it works like many over the counter acne medications. The top acne treatments are either AHA or BHA, which are alpha-hydroxy acid and beta-hydroxy acid. They work by sloughing off dead skin cells of the face to reveal bright, new skin. Apple Cider Vinegar provides a natural alternative to these harsh chemicals. Apple Cider Vinegar also kills bacteria on the face, which further helps eliminate acne.

Apple Cider Vinegar is most commonly used as a component of facial toner, or face mask. A word of warning, Apple Cider Vinegar should never be applied to the face at full strength, remember, this is a strong acid, and can burn the skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar Toner Recipe

    -Clean Sterile Bottle
    -1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
-3/4 Cup Base Liquid (I recommend Green Tea, or Witch Hazel)

Combine ingredients in Bottle. My personal preference is to use Green Tea as a base. It calms down the smell of the vinegar, and also acts to calm the skin after the Cider Vinegar Treatment. Apply once or twice a day with a cotton pad over a clean face.

Apple Cider Vinegar Face Mask

    -Non-Metal bowl
    -Non-Metal Spoon
    -Apple Cider Vinegar
    -Healing Clay

Mix equal parts of healing clay, or other powder clay with Apple Cider Vinegar. Apply to clean face, and wash off once dry.

Apple Cider Vinegar Cold Remedy

Apple Cider Vinegar has long been used as a cold remedy. It is believed that Apple Cider Vinegar boosts the immune system, but it can do much more. The best use for Apple Cider Vinegar while Sick is to gargle a Apple Cider Vinegar concoction.

You will need:

    -Apple Cider Vinegar
    -Hot Water
    -Cayenne Pepper
    -6oz Mug or larger

Mix in approximately two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to approximately 4 ounces of hot water. Stir in a spoonful of honey to taste, as well as Cayenne Pepper. Mix as much Cayenne Pepper as you are comfortable with.

If suffering from a sore throat, gargle this solution for approximately 30 seconds, then swallow. The gargling allows this concoction to work. All ingredients have powerful anti inflammatory properties and will work to reduce the swelling of the tonsils. Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar also have antibacterial, and antiviral properties which will help eliminate harmful bacterial growth in the throat.

If a sore throat is not your problem, fret not! Apple Cider Vinegar will help your body heal from within. The Cayenne Pepper and Apple Cider Vinegar are both believed to be strong immunity boosters. Also if suffering from an upset stomach, Apple Cider Vinegar relieves sour stomachs.

Digestion, Stomach Issues, and Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar sounds like an odd solution to an upset stomach. Apple Cider Vinegar is the perfect solution to alleviate many stomach and digestion issues. ACV is most effective for those who’s stomach is producing less HCL (stomach acid) that it should. Apple Cider Vinegar assists the stomach by adding additional acid and helps break down food. Apple Cider Vinegar also aids in digestion by introducing beneficial enzymes into the digestion track. It helps to balance the natural bacteria in the stomach which lowers the levels of bad bacteria, and promotes the growth of healthy bacteria.

Recipe For an Upset Stomach

-Two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar
-8oz (Or More) Mint or Chamomile Tea

The Apple Cider Vinegar will aid in digestion, while the Tea will calm and soothe the stomach. The recipe above is basic, it can be tweaked to your liking. My favorite recipe for an upset stomach is as follows:

    -2 Tablespoons ACV
    -8 oz Chamomile/Mint Tea Combined
    -1 Tablespoon of Organic Honey

This combination is almost magic! The combination of Apple Cider Vinegar and other stomach soothing ingredients creates a powerful, proven method of alleviating stomach aches and digestive issues.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Your Pets

Apple Cider Vinegar has wonder benefits for humans, but what uses does Apple Cider Vinegar have for your pets</>? Many benefits enjoyed by humans, can also be enjoyed by pets. ACV can be a natural substitute for flea medication, digestion aid, and help treat and prevent dry skin. Some other uses include:

    -Flea Dip
    -Clean and Sanitize dog toys
-Cleaning Carpets and Stains (White vinegar is recommended)
    -Alleviating Dry Skin
    -Reduce calluses and Rough Skin
-Reduce the Pain of Sore Muscles and Bruises
    -Digestion Aid
    -Arthritis Pain
-Promotes Healthy Coat, Skin, and Nails
    -Deodorizing Pet
-Deodorizing Dog Bed & Other Items

Your mileage may vary. Many people have reported that Apple Cider Vinegar has rid their dogs of fleas, and other parasites. Traditional flea medication are strong insecticides that can have many negative side effects. Flea medication can cause vomiting from intestinal distress, skin rashes, drowsiness, and other adverse reactions. Not all dogs can handle these medications, and that is where natural alternatives such as ACV can be used.

ACV can improve the life of your dog, with little to no side effects. Apple Cider Vinegar is inexpensive, and readily available. Why not try a natural solution first? What do you have to lose?

Apple Cider Vinegar Warnings

Apple Cider Vinegar is helpful in so many ways, but can also be harmful if not used properly. The most important thing to remember when using Apple Cider Vinegar is that it is an acid, and should be treated as so. Here are some things to NOT do:

-Mix with basic material (i.e. Soaps, Baking Soda)
-Consume or apply topically without diluting
-Pour quickly into water or other liquids

-Allow ACV to have long contact with teeth

Consistent use of Apple Cider Vinegar may cause unwanted affects. Some people have reported that consistent use of ACV have resulted in low potassium levels as well as osteoperosis. Those with diabetes should consult with their doctor, for it is believed that Apple Cider Vinegar can lower glucose levels.

Caution should be taken when consuming Apple Cider Vinegar. Apple Cider Vinegar should not have prolonged contact to the teeth, as it can cause quick enamel wear.
